From its opening in 1991, West Orchard Shopping Centre has been at the heart of the city centre shopping, offering a wide choice of retail outlets with major high street names as well as independent outlets, and a 650 space car park with electric chargers on level 5.
2 Entry lanes, each comprising:
- Elegance Entry Terminal, each featuring:
- Ticket issuance
- Proximity card reader for processing pass cards
- Rising arm barrier
2 Exit lanes, each comprising:
- Elegance Exit Terminal, each featuring:
- Ticket reader
- Proximity card reader for processing pass cards
- Elegance Rising arm barrier
7 Automatic Pay Stations, each comprising:
- Elegance Pay-on-Foot Exit Terminal, each featuring:
- Ticket reader
- Coin acceptance with recycled change giving
- Bank note acceptance
- EMV Chip & PIN credit/debit card reader
Central management system located in the City Council offices, to which all of the above are integrated, including:
- Intercom system providing voice communication with all of the entry/exit terminals and pay stations
