OXIGENO A NEW CONCEPT IN URBAN SPACES IN COSTA RICA

Oxígeno Human Playground is an interactive space, which integrates community, entertainment, sports, gastronomy, shopping and green areas. It is unique for the innovative to unify all these concepts in a single space. Oxígeno opened at the end of 2018 and it is located in the city of San Francisco de Heredia, in Costa Rica, just 10km from San José.

This large complex, with more than 1660 parking spaces, was designed to receive many visitors. For that reason, the customer required a car park system with a high performance and reliability and full-time availability. PKE line was perfect for that because of its top performance, TFTs, proximity and IP intercom. The project has a total of 12 entry terminals and 11 exit terminals (with license plate recognition system), 9 automatic payment stations (APS) and a monitoring and management center.

Thanks to the ease of Lince software to integrate Third Parties, an application for external payment has been planned by scanning the ticket. It will allow also booking parking spaces and requesting vehicles parked through the Valet Parking.

Furthermore, seven reversible lanes allow car park managers to get higher flexibility, so they can meet the demand when events or peak hours take place and all motorists head towards accesses trying to get in or out of the car park. All that supported by the statistics reports performed by Lince software.

The system detects motorcycles and cars, so it applies differentiated tariffs depending on the vehicle. Regarding automatic payment stations (APS) and means of payment, PKE APS have been integrated with EMV readers for payments with credit or debit cards via magnetic stripe, proximity, NFC or Chip. Additionally, proximity cards were set as electronic wallets and can be recharged in the different APSs distributed in the shopping center.
